My lab is housed in the first floor (room 125) of the Lee Drain Building at Sam Houston State University. I have a wide variety of research interests and train undergraduate and graduate students. My current research interests involve antimicrobial resistance and virulence plasmids of Salmonella enterica, host-pathogen interactions of Salmonella enterica and C. elegans, identification of potential vaccine targets for avian pathogenic E. coli, and understanding the bacterial basis of human decomposition.
